The Two Strike Park War Memorial has been undergoing some work and updating for more than a year, an action taking by local community groups wanting to update the memorial.
The photos above comes from the Two Strikes War Memorial Facebook page and there are much more you can see there showing the entire construction process.
The project came together from the hard work of the Verdugo Hills Post 288 and VFW Post 1614, according to the project's website.
The groups did a variety of fundraising to get the project going, including a 5k run last April. The group's efforts to get the project started date back all the way to 2007, according to the Glendale News Press.
