Twelve Oaks Sale Halted

The facility's owner reportedly still plans to sell the facility and force its 50 residents to move out.

The sale of Twelve Oaks Lodge in Verdugo City to a Santa Monica developer has fallen apart, according to the Glendale News-Press

However, the assisted living facility's owner, be.group, still plans to sell it and force its 50 residents to move out because it says it cannot afford to continue to operate it, according to the report.

Residents that live at the facility had been told recently they will have to move out within the next two months due to the sale. The facility, located at 2820 Sycamore Ave., has been operating for almost 80 years.

The potential sale prompted the Glendale chapter of the National Charity League, which used to own the facility, to ask the California attorney general's help in investigating the sale because the organization said it violates the trust's original intent, according to the Glendale News-Press
