Impairment is impairment, we should ban everybody from driving. One glass of water, life time ban…Read More from driving. Failing to have loaded gun in the car, lifetime ban on driving. Voted Democrat, life time ban on driving.

Yes. Impairment is impairment. It's amazing (and sad) how overconfident people are about their…Read More ability to drive when impaired (by drink or drug) or distracted (by cell phones). There are abundant studies that show such people's confidence in their abilities is misplaced.
It is reasonable for society to expect that people who are at the control of what is in effect a guided missile weighing thousands of pounds be competent to guide it properly.

I think it honorable to recognize a man who devoted five years of his life to service at the C.V.…Read More Sheriff Dept. If you allow me, I wish to speak of a Deputy who donated his whole life while he served at the old Montrose Sheriff Station. back in the fifties. He was shot to death while investigating a call to a house situation. His name was David A. Hore. His children, if any, are still without a Father, his wife, if still alive is still without her husband. For a time, his picture hung in the old station on Ocean View, but that was so long ago and not worthy of any memory or tangible memory at the new station. I never knew him, I live in Oklahoma, and yet I remember him. Your feel good momentary accolades are a stench in my nostrils. Please put a pic or something in your most proper new station...to remember..officer David A. Horr (sp?) Bob Fishback

*So* many lives have been turned inside out by this person's actions ~ and I pray for healing.
I'm thankful to the private citizens & law enforcement who participated in taking this individual off our streets before the truly unthinkable happened.

Even though I am far removed from this, I became emotionally envolved somehow. I was wondering why…Read More the sudden cessation in reporting in this...now, we know ..still missing. One thing for sure, she has no desire to contact friends or family, either that or she can't. I assume an APB has been issued. A car is pretty hard to hide forever. If she is still alive, she must have resources supplied for survival. This almost demands a second party. This may be hard to come up with, but a substantial reward offered for any info carries much weight. So strange, I worry about this person.

Is this a Glendale investigation because she used to live in La Crescenta? I was wondering if LAPD…Read More was coordinating, and sharing resources, since Sunland is LAPD turf?

I submitted a comment on this and it never got posted. Maybe the Bears will turn their attention to…Read More swimming pools instead of garbage cans. I hope the water dropping aircraft are ready to go and get on it..unlike the station fire which was toyed with far too long. Nothing will beat the brutal heat wave of Sept. 1955..I lived in Montrose then and it hit 110 or more for quite a few days...How about a platitude? Drink plenty of fluids...duhhhh...

I agree that the fine should be at least $500. It isn't just the young drivers doing it, either.…Read More Was driving on the Glendale 2 heading south and a woman who had to have been at least in her 40's was totally absorbed in texting on her phone, her eyes not on the road ahead. At the time, couldn't wait to get as far away from her as possible, but now wish I would have gotten her license plate. Even if drivers don't value their own lives, the people around them might not wish to become road kill just so they can text.
