Bluejeans does have a "sports bar" vibe to it. Possibly a sports bar with upscale…Read More drinks/food? As soon as I can get a hold of Jeff Williams, I'll let you all know. But, according to some other people I've spoken to, Williams is still working out the specifics of the concept for the new restaurant. So, we probably won't know more for a while.

Year, after year I mean to address this issue. The Hometown Fair is a wonderful community event.…Read More But, it excludes(not intentionally) a growing population- the disabled. I know venue choices are few, so I'm not sure of a good solution. There needs to be one, though. I would value your input or that of anyone else. Thank you.

"Check out the Montrose Shopping Park Association's website for more information about the…Read More upcoming celebration." <---- Uh, nope! As of today, the exact same photo & basic info is there, but no "more information".
I saw everyone walk there or grab your designated driver, go check it out & if it's not what you expected, head to the Wine Cave or Avignon's & have a couple glasses. The "celebration" outside might improve. :-)

"Buy one - get one free" is nothing more than a 50% off (overall) offer. With STARBUCKS…Read More phenomenal markup structure, they are still making a ton of money on this promotion. With it costing barely anything to make the first expensive cup, what do you think it costs to make the 2nd, maybe .20 cents?
The title of this Patch article: 'Starbucks Offers Free 'Holiday Beverages' , IMO, is deceiving and innnacurate. It SHOULD have said "Starbucks offering "buy 1, 1 free' promotion". THAT would have been accurate, rather than burying the details in the body copy of the article.

Guns or the glorification of killing? This thread not a good launch pad, but..By now, we are aware…Read More of the incredible tragedy at Conn. School. And, already, the gun rights people are marshalling their concerns about a new thrust at gun control. They are oblivious to the real culprit...Hollywood ! For decades, the movie screens have majored in violence. It is entertainment, mind you. The electronic games are about killing. What in the hell do we expect ? Start with banning any violence of any kind in movies, games, or etc...The young American mind had been conditioned to view violent death and destruction as entertainment..no big deal. Screw "freedom of speech" as it is now used. If you want to talk, go ahead. If you want to produce violence through a mode other than talking....You are out of line.
