Valley View Elementary School

<p>Valley View Elementary School, home of the Eagles, was named a National Blue Ribbon School in 2005 and a California Distinguished School in 2004 and 2010. Carla Walker is the principal. The school colors are blue and white.</p> <p>During the 2008-2009 school year, 80% of Valley View students performed proficiently or higher in English and Language Arts, 86% performed proficiently or higher in Math and 85% performed proficiently or higher in Science.</p> <p>Teachers at Valley View have an average of 15 years of teaching experience.</p> <p>Valley View parents are active in the PTA and the Valley View Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization that exists to raise money for the students and school. The VVEF has helped purchase computers, software, musical instruments, workbooks and planners, and fund field trips, special assemblies and the Meet the Masters art program.</p>
