<p>The La Crescenta Library was first opened in November 1914 with a small collection located inside a church. Today it resides on the corner of Foothill Blvd. and La Crescenta Ave. in a newly renovated, 15,000-square-foot building. $14.5 million in funds were used to expand and update the library. It officially reopened on January 29, 2010.</p> <p>The La Crescenta Library is part of the Los Angeles County Public Library System, so patrons are able to access the entire L.A. County collection from this branch.</p> <p>Many classes and clubs for adults, families, teens and children are held monthly. The full calendar is available on the library website.</p> <p>A wealth of research materials including biographies, newspapers, magazines, and medical texts can be accessed here. There is also a career database and a Learning Express Test Prep Library, which contains practice tests for the ACT, SAT, GRE, GED, TOEFL, EMS, Firefighter exams and much more.</p> <p>Town meetings, elections and events are held in the meeting room. The entrance is located in the back parking lot.</p>
