Patch Blog: My First Post

The little things can make a big difference.

Prologue.
I should come up with something catchy.
A good "hook."
Maybe talk about something controversial,
maybe use big words such as "cantankerous"
(which means ill-tempered)
maybe use words people are attracted to - like "FREE" or "SEX."

But I cannot BS you starting with my first post.
(I'm thinking about starting the BS in the third or fourth one.)

Dear the Constant Reader,

I want you to list the top three things that you enjoy doing.
Maybe make a mental list, maybe make a list on a piece of paper, but make the list and see if there is anything that you can do right now.

A fun fact about myself. Right now I'm in a foreign land far, far away for my job. I cannot discuss the details of my job, but maybe after we get closer in our online post relationship, I can be more open and let you know.
Now put the list aside. Burn it. Rip it up. Erase it. Now that I got you thinking about things you like, try to think of things that makes you happy. Big, small, expensive, free, whatever it may be.

Being in this foreign land made me miss not only my family, friends, and my dogs,
but the little things in life. The fast-food drive thru, going to the bars, the nightlight, even the local park, grass, trees and fresh breeze. Just the comforts of having my own bed, and walking to the restroom in whatever clothes I happen to be wearing or not wearing. Going to the kitchen and searching through the refrigerator. I even miss the LA traffic. Okay, maybe not, but remember those little things that can make you happy.

If you're having a bad day, or a rough week, make a list of those things and go out and execute.

Call that person you haven't talked to in awhile and ask them how they are doing. Maybe that little call can make their day.

Taesian.
