Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station Organizes Emergency Blood Drive

This event supports the Huntington Memorial Hospital.

The  will host an emergency blood drive on Tuesday, July 17.

"Every two seconds someone needs blood. Forty percent of the blood needed to meet the needs of Southern California patients comes from other parts of the country. During summer time when children are out of school, there is a greater blood shortage. In the event of a disaster, the need for blood will inevitably be a factor in saving lives," according to a news release from the Crescenta Valley Station.

The blood drive will be held on July 17 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will assist the Huntington Memorial Hospital, which is the closest trauma hospital for those who live in Montrose, La Crescenta and La Cañada Flintridge. Participants will receive a coupon for a pint of ice cream from Baskin Robbins.
