Former CVHS Golfer Wins First PGA Tour Title (Video)

John Huh, 21, parred all eight holes in the playoff, which matched the second-longest in PGA Tour history.

There's a rookie on the golf course who's giving veteran golfers a run for their money - literally.

John Huh, a former Crescenta Valley High School student, finished first at the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, according to Los Angeles Daily News.

The 21-year-old now ranks ninth in Money Leaders along the PGA Tour, according to his official PGA Tour website.

Huh parred all eight holes in the playoff that matched the second-longest in PGA Tour history, according to Daily News.

"It's amazing," Huh said. "It's my rookie year, especially, and playing in my fifth event on the PGA Tour. I just couldn't put it in words. ... It's really hard to explain this. It's major. I mean, it was my dream."

Huh ranks 137 in the world and is a Cal State Northridge graduate. He's a fan of the Angry Birds app and locals can follow him on Twitter at @huh979
