Basketball: CV High's Springer Plans Transfer to Maranatha in Pasadena

The guard was expected to a major weapon for the Falcons.

Following what Mom says has long been the cornerstone for making big decisions, and that appears to be the case for Falcons guard Nick Springer's choice to transfer from Crescenta Valley High School to Maranatha High in Pasadena for his senior season, according to the story in the Glendale News-Press.

The decision, the GNP reports, comes because Springer's mother wanted her son to attend a Christian school.

Springer, who's been a Falcon since his sophomore year, earned All Pacific League first-team accolade in his junior season, tallying 13.1 points and 5.3 rebounds a game. The Falcons advanced to the Division I-A semifinals in consecutive campaigns and finish with a 23-9, 11-3 in league record, the News-Press reports.
