- Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Linkchorst enjoys giving back to our community; at her sweet sixteen party, she raised $350 for "Samaritan's Purse" rather than receiving presents. Samaritan's Purse is an organization that provides funds to those in need worldwide, such as survivors of the recent New Zealand earthquake and children who need life-saving surgeries. Linkchorst is also an avid supporter of the Los Angeles Food Bank, collecting and donating non-perishable food items on a regular basis. She also recently donated over ten inches of her hair to the "Locks of Love" organization, which makes wigs for children who are suffering from cancer.
- Bonus Whiz Kid Info: Math and chemistry are Linkchorst's favorite classes at Crescenta Valley High, where she is also Women's Ensemble singing group. She actively participates in the Girl Scout program and has been honored with the Bronze Award and Silver Award. She is currently working on her Gold Award. In her spare time, Kate enjoys dancing, collecting pins, reading and looks forward to being a kindergarten teacher.
