Glendale School Board Incumbent Could Lose Seat

Joylene Wagner was narrowly trailing behind challenger Armina Gharpetian with all 39 precincts reporting.

Joylene Wagner, first elected to the Glendale Unified school board in 2005, may lose her seat.

With all 39 precincts reporting, Wagner lagged behind challenger Armina Gharpetian by a a mere 501 votes. To date, Wagner has 7,195 votes to Gharpetian's 7,696.

Because a second challenger, Jennifer Freemon has 7,504 votes, the election could ultimately be determined by an unknown number of provisional ballots, as well as vote-by-mail ballots turned into polling stations.
