Teens MOVE Job/Volunteer Opportunity Fair

MOVE stands for Many Opportunities for Volunteering and Employment.  At Teens MOVE, local businesses and organizations host tables to introduce their programs and job opportunities to local teens.  Crescenta Valley High School students are encouraged to attend starting 6th period and other area high school students are invited to come as of 3:00.  There will be music and raffle prizes.  Students can accumulate raffle tickets by getting their passports stamped at the approximately 30 tables.  Past exhibitors include employers such as Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios as well as non-profits like The Red Cross and the LA Zoo.  This year's exhibitors are yet to be confirmed.

Teens MOVE is sponsored by the Crescenta-Canada YMCA, the Community Center of La Canada Flintridge and the CV High PTSA.  It's been very successful for the past 5 years at La Canada High School.  This is the first year it will be held at Crescenta Valley High.

If you're a teen, come get some ideas for community service hours and maybe get a leg up on your career.  One lucky raffle winner will go home with a great career research tool, a Kindle Fire!
