Crescenta Valley High School’s Prom Plus Committee and Student Club are excited to present the Sixth Annual Taste of Montrose on Sunday, May 6 from 11 to 2.  Once again our event will be held in conjunction with the Sunday Harvest Marketplace and the Wags ‘n Whiskers/Kids ‘n Kritters events.

Taste of Montrose offers a culinary exploration of the many fine restaurants that Montrose is known for.  We now ask for your support by supporting this wonderful event. We anticipate 300-plus guests to join us that day.

Prom Plus provides an after prom event for Crescenta Valley High School seniors and their guests.  It was created after a 1991 tragedy in which one of our students was murdered at a post-prom party.  Our goal is to offer our kids a safe, yet fun, place to go after the prom that is drug and alcohol free.  Your attendance at Taste of Montrose will help offset the more than $25,000 it costs to host Prom Plus on prom night.

Tickets are available at Honolulu/Verdugo on the day of the event or at the Montrose & CV Chambers, Merle Norman, Paradis, J's Maintenance, Montrose & La Crescenta UPS Stores, CV Weekly office and CV High.  Visit our website PromPlus.org for additional information about Prom Plus and how our Prom Plus Club is positively impacting our community.

Thank you for supporting Prom Plus.  We are truly “saving lives, one prom at a time.”

I feel bad that teachers are having to pull money out of their own pockets, I wonder whateverRead More happened to the lottery money that was supposed to go to schools? I am a volunteer for an organization that offers free drug education kits to any teacher with booklets on the various harmful drugs . Educators play a vital role for our children and in society and should be supported in any way possible. Any who might be interested, e-mail me at tbadger2000@yahoo.com.
