A new state law introduces transitional kindergarten, a new public school grade level in California.
The Glendale Unified School District, among other districts in California, will enroll four-year-olds with Autumn birthdays, district officials said in a news release.
The first TK students, with birthdays in November of 2007, are enrolling for TK classes at select schools, now. Classes begin August, 20.
Parents are invited to learn about the new grade level and who is eligible to attend on Wednesday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Glendale Unified School District Board Room, 223 N. Jackson St., Glendale.
