Glendale Police and Fire are searching the R.D. White Elementary School campus to render the area safe, authorities announced.

The Glendale school south of Montrose received an anonymous phone call of a possible bomb on campus, located in the 700 Block of East Doran, police said.

School officials evacuated the campus to Whole Foods, near Glendale Avenue and Lexington Drive.

I have gppd mems of good old R.D. White where I went to sixth grade 1950-1951. Guess who my teacher was ? Francis Wayland Parsons, who became Principal at Clark Jr High after I left. He was a great teacher. Miss Brinn was Principal at R. D. back then. I was doing some office duty and lady came and called me into Miss Brinn's office to hear live farewell speach by McArther. .Back then, the sixth grade put on a play and I had one line" "Im going to be a jocky and win horse races. When I visited there in 1975, I went through R.D. I went to the aud. and got up on stage and repeated that same line. Nothing happened ! Nothing to do with a bomb..just a memory. Hi Mr Parsons, if you are still with us..Bob
