Who Is the Montrose or La Crescenta Person of the Year?

TIME magazine named President Barack Obama their person of the year. Tell us who you think should win from our town!

On Dec. 19, Time magazine named President Barack Obama as their Person of the Year.

“For finding and forging a new majority, for turning weakness into opportunity and for seeking, amid great adversity, to create a more perfect union, Barack Obama is TIME's 2012 Person of the Year,” Time managing editor Richard Stengel explained in his note to readers.

The magazine invited votes on 40 candidates, including Obama, Gabby Douglas and Kim Jong Un. Other options included The Mars Rover and the Higgs Boson Particle.

But who cares about the same-old, same-old? Who is Montrose or La Crescenta's Person of the Year—the man or woman who, in Timespeak, “most influenced the news this year for better or worse?”

Cheryl's work to create the dog park, her participation with the Town Council and I think she is a trained CERT volunteer; things that bring little or no monetary rewards, but are done entirely for the benefit of her neighbors.

BTW, per electronic etiquette; all caps is considered yelling. Why are you yelling?

It seems unfair to choose only one person, when a number of people deserve it. But, if that is not possible, I cast my vote for Cheryl...I may have to rent in Montrose to be a voting member.

Re writing in caps. Who decided that caps is shouting and what power do they hold to make it mandatory. Caps are easier to read for older folks. Amazing how upset people get over this..
