Weaver Leads 2011 Glendale Council Fundraising
Campaign disclosure documents report contributions for this year's election cycle.
Councilman Dave Weaver leads the fundraising arm of the with $8,923 in contributions, financial disclosure documents show.
Councilman John Drayman, Rafi Manoukian and Garen Mailyan each raised more than $4,000, while Mike Mohill reported $400 and Chahe Keuroghelian took no contributions from Jan. 1 to Feb. 19.

Seven contributors, six of whom are not from Glendale, gave Weaver the $1,000 maximum: Shawbeth Inc., a Glendale commercial property management firm; Anet Mashhour, a homemaker from Burbank; Arcadia Transit Inc., a limousine service in Sun Valley; Debra M. Cho, a Los Angeles homemaker; David D. Lee, president of Los Angeles-based Meridian Global Assets; Creative Plastics Inc. based in Gardena; and Hocean Inc., a seafood wholesaler located in the city of Commerce. Verdugo Consulting donated $500.
Weaver declined to comment on his relationship with these contributors.

John Drayman:
Glendale retiree Marco Zonni was Drayman's most generous benefactor, donating a total of $1,000 in $200 increments, Drayman said. Sharon Weissman, also a retiree from Glendale, and David Meyers of La Crescenta each gave $500.
"Marc and Josephine Zonni are the parents of Linda Zonni, who is someone I dated in junior high and high school," said Drayman. "They live in the far-north Glendale area, and I've remained friends with Marc."
The remainder of Drayman's coffers was filled by itemized contributions ranging from $20 to $250, as well as $680 worth of pledges under $100 that do not require donor identification.
Garen Mailyan:
Contributions for Mailyan's campaign primarily were between $100 and $400 from family members and residents of Glendale and the San Fernando Valley.
Rafi Manoukian:
Manoukian's campaign is largely self-funded, including $1,335 from the candidate. The rest of a $4,335 total came from his parents, Ohannes and Victoria Manoukian, and his brother Nigol's Glendale law firm.
Mike Mohill:
Mohill's largest contributor was Foxy's Restaurant, which gave $200. The remainder of his $400 was the total of contributions under $100.
