Touchdown Confirmed for Mars Curiosity

Scientists screamed, weeped and cheered at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory Sunday. Mars Curiosity landed about 10:31 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

Locals at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory are viewing the first images of Mars. 

Rover Curiosity landed at 10:31 p.m. Sunday, Pacific Standard Time. 

Scientists cheered and screamed when the words "Touchdown confirmed" were said by NASA officials.
