Still Putting Off Those Taxes? Get Free Help.

Anthony Portantino and John Chiang are sponsoring a free program to help the community do their taxes.

Good news: if you make less than $49,000 a year, you are eligible to be part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, through which you can receive free help.

On Saturday, April 9, from 3-8 p.m., the tax assistance services will be offered at El Centro de Acción in Pasadena (37 E. Del Mar Blvd.).

If you are interested in these services, you must call ahead to make a reservation at 626-792-3148. This program is sponsored by Assemblyman Anthony Portantino and State Controller John Chiang.
