Stamp Prices Increase One Cent in 2013

The debut of the U.S. Postal Service's 46-cent Forever stamps brings rate changes on Jan. 27.

Stamp prices increase one cent effective Jan. 27 to make way for the new 46-cent Forever stamp, according to an announcement from the U.S. Postal Service.

The price to mail a one-ounce letter will increase from 45 cents to 46 cents, but the cost for letters weighing more than one ounce will stay the same, at 20 cents for each additional ounce.

The announcement states letters under one ounce mailed anywhere internationally will cost $1.10 and postcard stamps will also see a one-cent increase, from 32 cents to 33 cents.

Those looking to save a few cents could stock up on the postal service's Forever stamps (costing 45 cents until the one-cent increase on Jan. 27), which are usable even after stamp prices change.

How much longer will they get away with this ? It is the most terribly run business in the country, take a look at the foothill location , on most any day of the week, they do not even raise their flag ? nor can most of them read simple english , or deliver the correct mail to the actual customer, Looking forward to a complete new agency in the near future .
