Should Glendale City Council Ban Plastic Bags?

Grocery stores in unincorporated areas of La Crescenta and Montrose began aplastic bag ban in 2011. Glendale City Council could approve an ordinance to ban plastic bags.

Grocery stores in Montrose and La Crescenta that are incorporated in the City of Glendale could soon see a plastic bag ban, according to media reports. 

Glendale City Council unanimously supported the new law on Tuesday and could approve it on Jan. 22, according to the Glendale News-Press. 

Glendale's proposed law would ban plastic at stores, including farmers markets and all city-sponsored events, or any event held on city property, The News-Press reported.  

Cordon's Ranch Market in Montrose removed its plastic bags following Jan. 1, 2013.

The ban on plastic shopping bags is just harassment. Ban All plastic bags and those bubble packs that cause injury, pill bottles and synthetic oil... oh and while we're at it ban stupid ordinances.

Jesse: Take a trip to the LA River as it flows through Glendale and Griffith Park and see how many plastic bags clog it up. Thay are on almost every bush and probably help kill some of the wildlife in the river. Many businesses and governments offer the re-usable cloth bags for free. Why not pick up some and break the "plastic bag" habit?

Did it fit well or was it a little loose? Running makes the arms swing. Strange as it may seem, it may still be in or on your own property. There are still honest people, call the desk of every business you went to. Also, call every pawn shop in your area and report. Good luck. If its any comfort, I found a diamond studded tie tack when I gazed at the soil in my garden and saw it. Keep us posted. b

I'm hoping that it is on my property otherwise I am at the grace of good honest people... Thank you for your suggestions and I have filed a lost property report and I will definitely call the local pawn shops. Keeping it in perspective and at the end of the day it is just an object, but I'm definitely hoping that it finds its way back.
