Poll: Should Big Rigs be Able to Park on La Crescenta-Montrose Overpasses?

The Crescenta Valley Town Council will be holding a hearing on whether to adopt similar parking restrictions to neighboring cities on big rigs parking on overpasses.

The Crescenta Valley Town Council will be holding a hearing at its August meeting on whether big rigs should be allowed to park on and under overpasses in La Crescenta-Montrose and is collecting public input via a poll on its website.

The Town Council sites notes that La Canada Flintridge, Glendale, Sunland-Tujunga and Burbank all have restrictions on big rig parking, suggesting La Crescenta-Montrose could be a natural place for big rig drivers to park in the area to avoid a ticket.

One La Canada Flintridge Patch reader has noticed the trucks and others parking on local overpasses, saying in a post on the site:

We all pay taxes to live in a nice area and it starting to look like San Fernando Road in Glendale.
The issue will be heard at the Town Council's August 15 meeting, which will be held at 7 p.m. at the La Crescenta Library.

You can vote in the Town Council's poll here.
