Photos: Antonovich Sworn in For 9th Term on Board of Supervisors

Antonovich, who represents unincorporated La Crescenta and La Canada Flintridge, will serve his ninth term on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich was sworn in for his ninth term on the Board of Supervisors Monday.

The Honorable John A. Arguelles, Justice, California Supreme Court (Ret.) presided over the ceremony, according to a Los Angeles County news release.

Archbishop Jose Gomez, Archdiocese of Los Angeles, delivered the Invocation, Michael Reagan, son of President Ronald Reagan, and George Cheung, actor, who emceed the event.

Nearly 700 guests at the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration attended. Among them were Consulate Generals of 10 foreign nations, numerous city and town council members and community leaders.

Supervisor Antonovich's district includes unincorporated La Crescenta, La Canada Flintridge; the San Gabriel, Pomona, San Fernando and Antelope valleys.  

The former Los Angeles Unified School District teacher also serves on the Board of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Metrolink (Southern California Regional Rail Authority), Southern California Association of Governments, San Fernando Valley and San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments, and the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

I feel bad that teachers are having to pull money out of their own pockets, I wonder whateverRead More happened to the lottery money that was supposed to go to schools? I am a volunteer for an organization that offers free drug education kits to any teacher with booklets on the various harmful drugs .
