Construction started for a new lighted crosswalk in La Crescenta, at Glenwood Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, making traffic conditions somewhat sluggish near Crescenta Valley High School.
The project is expected for completion, possibly by the second week of May, according to Crescenta Valley Town Council President Cheryl Davis.
The original completion date was scheduled for October, she said.
The lighted crosswalk is expected to make the area safer for students walking from nearby schools, including , and .
