Last Day to Nominate Montrose and La Crescenta Citizens for Senator Huff's 'Citizen of the Year' Award

California state Sen. Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar) is seeking nominations for a "Citizen of the Year" award by Tuesday, May 10.

State Sen. Bob Huff (R-Diamond Bar) is seeking nominations for his annual "Citizen of the Year" contest by Tuesday, May 10.

Nominees should be from the 29th Senate District, which includes Montrose and parts of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties.

A news release from the Senator's office said that nominations should list specific projects in which the nominee took part or groups with which the nominee was involved with specific notes for any involvement in law enforcement, education, transportation, or the environment highlighted.

The 29th district includes the following cities: Arcadia, Bradbury, Brea, Charter Oak, Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Crescenta-Montrose, La Habra, La Habra Heights, La Verne, Mayflower Village, Monrovia, North El Monte, Placentia, San Dimas, Sierra Madre, Walnut and Yorba Linda.

The district also includes portions of Anaheim, the Angeles National Forest, Citrus, City of Industry, East Pasadena, East San Gabriel, Hacienda Heights, Juniper Hills, Rowland Heights and Tujunga.

“I feel it’s important to recognize people who have contributed to our overall quality of life and made significant contributions to our area,” Huff said.

Nominations should be submitted to Sen. Huff's district office in Walnut at 20888 Amar Road or sent by email to tim.shaw@sen.ca.gov by Tuesday, May 10.
