Wildfires present a great danger for hillside and canyon homes throughout Glendale, including Montrose-La Crescenta, where many locals face the Verdugo or San Gabriel mountains. 

Dry grass, weeds, shrubs and flammable landscaping can present a problem and can be cleared before any fire threats emerge.

Glendale's Neighborhood Services offers basic maintenance assistance with the Property Clean Up Program. The following are services offered by the program:
