Arbor Day Celebration to Descend on La Crescenta-Montrose April 20

Officials encourage participants to enjoy "The Great Outdoors."

The theme of this year's celebration is "The Great Outdoors" and will highlight the various green projects in the Crescenta Valley. Those in attendance will include Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca who will serve as guest speaker.

Some of the projects highlighted include the Crescenta Valley Dog Park, mini-parks, the Rosemont Preserve, War Memorial, various trails, playground and Eagle Scout projects.

Live performances will be provided by the Armenian Dancers, Korean Singers, St. James/Holy Redeemer School and the Crescenta Valley High School Jazz Band.

The event will be held at Two Strike Park, 5107 Rosemont Avenue in La Crescenta. The event starts at 10 a.m.
