Antonovich Addresses Windstorm, Impacts on Crescenta Valley

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich addressed locals on windstorm damage, Southern California Edison's response. New members were installed to the CV Town Council and outgoing members were thanked.

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich spoke at the Crescenta Valley Town Council meeting on Dec. 15 about wind damage, Edison’s response and also installed the newest members of the Crescenta Valley Town Council.

Antonovich and the , for not coordinating with local officials, and for not having a good enough plan in place to deal with extended power outages.

“We all survived the hurricane, the wind, the tornado the Santa Anas and we had a very lame response from Edison,” Antonovich said.

When asked if the company conducted disaster training, Edison officials indicated that they had done a training two months ago, Antonovich said.  The supervisors asked for confirmation that the training had happened and how the training worked.

“It’s still a process that we’re involved with,” Antonovich said. “I can’t estimate the amount of dollar wise, inconvenience wise, that people lost all their food.”

“The good news is our communities were able to pull together,” Antonovich said. “I really appreciate the town council and their relationship.”

Crescenta Valley Town Council 2012 Installation

CV Town Council Vice President Steve Goldsworthy and alternate Charlie Shelton were thanked for their work and dedicated to the community by Antonovich. 

The 2012 council was installed to include newly elected members Frank Beyt and Mike Claessens.
