The owner and operator of Union 76 Gas Station in La Canada Flintridge apparently owes the California State Board of Equalization $520,257 in unpaid taxes, the La Canada Valley Sun reports.
The location at 2384 Foothill Boulevard remains closed, with only caution tape parked next to the pumps.
La Canada Enterprises, which owns and operates the location, has suspended status from the California Secretary of State's office.
The owner, Samira Shirza, is now listed as the owner of Pacific Continental Link Inc at 16027 Dickens St., Encino, according to The Valley Sun.

The gas station is set to open under a new owner, but the new owner and date of re-opening are not immediately available.
La Canada Enterprises will continue to owe the State Board of Equalization unpaid taxes, although there is no deadline to pay up, a spokeswoman from the State Board of Equalization told Patch. The agency puts the information out to encourage people to come forward and begin a payback agreement.
The gas station closure means that locals are turning to other locations for gas, including nearby , , and in Montrose-La Crescenta.
