Woman Rescued from 300-Foot Angeles Crest Crash (Video)

A woman reported missing crashed about 300 feet off Angeles Crest Highway, suffering critical injuries.

Sheriff's Air 5 airlifted Tracy Granger, 56, from her crashed white pickup truck Monday and transported her to Huntington Memorial Hospital Monday, according to ABC7.

Granger spent the night in freezing temperatures after her truck plummeted 350 feet over the side of Angeles Forest Highway, according to sheriff's officails. She was in critical condition.

The truck was found near mile marker 10.41 by Montrose and Antelope Valley search and rescue teams, Sheriff's Rerserve Sgt. Sue Burakowski told Patch.

Rescue team members saw tracks going off the road and investigated, leading to finding the white truck over the side in the snow, which was hard to see from air or ground, Sheriff's Reserve Chief Mike Leum of Montrose Search and Rescue Team told Patch.

"She was found still alive, in critical condition, about 300 feet over the side," Burakowski said.
