Kim Beattie, Director of Development at YMCA of the Foothills and La Cañada-Flintridge resident,

This accident did not happen on YMCA property, but the private driveway adjacent to Y property. Additionally, because some members could not leave the Y until the area was safe, the Y facility remained open for our members. I would appreciate a correction to your article. Thank you, Kim Beattie Director of Development, YMCA of the Foothills.

Patch confirmed with an emergency responder at the scene, who declined to give his name, that the crash happened on a private road next the YMCA.
