SUV Stolen Outside Montrose Flower Shop

The vehicle owner and Lordz Flowers employee left her car running outside the store when an unknown man jumped inside and drove off.

An employee at Lordz Flowers had her 2003 Ford Expedition stolen while she left the car running outside the floral shop rear entrance, sheriff’s officials reported. 

An unknown suspect entered the car at 2070 Montrose Avenue, near Verdugo Road, about 9:25 a.m. on May 31, according to a report from the . 

“After a few seconds, she heard noises by the rear door,” according to the report.

The victim saw the suspect enter the car and drive off westbound on Florencita Avenue and out of her view, authorities said.

Not only was her car—valued about $10,000—stolen, but the victim also lost other items, including her red leather wallet, check book, California driver’s license, credit card and several plants and flowers. These additional items valued about $300.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds, wearing khaki shorts and a sleeveless black t-shirt. 

Sheriff’s deputies did not find any witnesses at the scene.
