Stolen Car Found Dumped off Angeles Crest Highway

The vehicle was found Monday 200 feet below the winding road in the Angeles National Forest.

A car reported stolen Sunday was found Monday morning, dumped over the side of Angeles Crest Highway, authorities said.

The gray GMC Yukon was spotted roughly 150-200 feet below mile marker 31.94, said Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station Lt. Brian Fitch. It's common for car thieves to abandon stolen vehicles in the Angeles National Forest, he said.

"We find cars all the time. They can be there for a day, a week, or six months. This one was reported stolen yesterday,'' he said.
