Sheriff's Captain to Leave Post

Capt. David Silversparre will manage the Sheriff's Department's radio and digital communications.

Capt. David Silversparre will leave his post as head of the Sheriff's Department's Crescenta Valley Station and transfer to a communications position within the department.

Silversparre first came to the Crescenta Valley Station in 2008 shortly after being promoted to captain.

"I've been honored to live my dream in an area in which I reside and will remain,"  Silversparre told the La Cañada Valley Sun. "While I did not ask to leave, it appears other people have plans for my future."

He will now manage the radio room at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Communications and Fleet Management Bureau in Los Angeles.
