Ruben Sanchez died at County-USC Medical Center, the sergeant said.

Lorenz said investigators initially believed they were dealing with a burglary that ended in an assault. But  robbery-homicide detectives, working around the clock, followed up on leads that led them to Adrian Sanchez, 22, who was arrested in El Cajon with the aid of the U.S. Marshal's Office.
