Police Release Crime Trends for Montrose, La Crescenta

Glendale Police Department reports the Montrose and La Crescenta has between five and seven crimes each month. Find out the area crime trends.

Glendale Police Department released its fall 2012 Glendale Crime Trends Bulletin, which includes facts and figures for Montrose and La Crescenta. 

Crime is down 14 percent, according to Glendale Police Lt. Scott Bickle of the North Area Command. 

Here are the hotspots for crime in the area

  • Honolulu Avenue and Valihi Way: Burglaries and thefts happen on Sunday, and then Tuesday through Thursday. Peak times: midnight to 3 a.m., and from noon to 4 p.m.  
  • Verdugo Woodlands: From Opechee Way to Don Carlos, police identified a hot spot for theft, items stolen from vehicles and burglaries. Peak days: Wednesdays or Thursdays, from midnight to 3 a.m.
  • Between Pennsylvania and New York avenues: Crimes include auto burglaries, theft, burglary and one stolen car. Peak days: Tuesday through Saturday, between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
