PHOTOS: Sheriff's Dept. Finds Missing Man's Crashed Car Sunday Off Angeles Crest Highway

Patch receives several photos from a reader who witnessed deputies as they attempted to recover the vehicle.

The Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Department announced Monday that the car belonging to a Burbank man reported missing two months ago was found off a cliff of the Angeles Crest Highway, and that unidentified human remains were found near the vehicle, according to the Burbank Leader.

Patch received several photos from reader Brian Hunting, who witnessed deputies as they attempted to recover the vehicle. The photos are attached, and the wreckage matches the description of Gevork Boyadzhyan’s 2010 Lexus sedan, which was found 400 feet off mile marker 65 of the highway.

Hunting described what he saw in an email:

"One guy was winched down from the highway and the other guy from the chopper. Not sure how they got the car out of this very steep ravine at the 7000 ft level. The forest service asked everyone to leave once the car's VIN returned missing / stolen and then declared the area a crime scene," said Hunting.

Patch will continue to follow this story and post updates as more information is available.
