Officials Holding 'Bear, Mountain Lion and Coyote Awareness' Meeting in La Crescenta

A dog was killed in the general area recently.

By City News Service
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, representatives of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife will hold a "bear, mountain lion and coyote awareness" public meeting in La Crescenta, at the Center for Spiritual Living, to educate residents on public and animal safety in foothill communities. A dog was killed in the general area recently, possibly by a mountain lion, and this is an active wildlife area where "Meatball" the bear was seen roaming last year, says Andrew Hughan of the CDFW. Sheriff's officials will participate.

The La Crescenta Center for Spiritual Living is at 4845 Dunsmore Ave.
