IT IS NOT the responsibility of the State to protect you from your careless behavior. Rather, it is YOUR responsibility to take care of yourself. And NO, the ACH will not be closed because a nanny-state advocate thinks the State should coddle and protect 'its citizens' from themselves. Turn off your television set and learn to think for yourself. Knives and forks are dangerous, so are cars, jet aircraft, race cars, junk food, booze, prescription drugs and many others. Perhaps you need a job in Sacramento working along side Portantino.

Dear Joe Citizen, You cant possibly be that naive to think that the highway has anything to do with these accidents & deaths. You cant be naive enough to think that the authorities can control how a person chooses to drive/ride. Does anyone police how you drive (only in they notice you did something wrong) or decide to live your life? No-of course not. We are all on our own to decide how to we drive/ride. I am just baffled that you believe that there is something that can be done....short of banning any form of transportation....so no one ever dies as a result of it. Bottom line-accidents happen, but can be avoided by how we drive & by being cautious.

RIP fellow rider. =( Please operate motor vehicles safely, considerately, and responsibly in the Crest everyone. Frequent accidents are occurring, because people simply aren't being careful enough- not because the road should be made private only to selfish, greedy locals who want it only for themselves.
