A former Boy Scouts of America employee pleaded not guilty to charges that he allegedly stole $28,820 from the organization's local council, which included donations and dues from troop members, according to The Glendale News-Press.
Donald Thurman, 26, worked part-time in the Verdugo Hills Council’s scout shop, The News-Press reported. He faces five felony counts for identity theft, another five felony counts of forgery and a felony count of grand theft for stealing from the Boy Scouts of America, according to a Los Angeles County Superior Court criminal complaint.
Thurman's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 20 in Burbank.
