Minor injuries reported in early Saturday morning accident.

Authorities from numerous agencies helped a man after his vehicle plunged off the side of Angeles Crest Highway early Saturday morning.

The man received only lacerations to his head and face and was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

The crash was first reported around 8:45 a.m. Saturday, about five miles north of La Crescenta, according to Ed Jacobs of the California Highway Patrol. The accident reportedly happened near mile marker 31.2.

The man was able to walk away from the crash and made it to the road shortly after with the help of Los Angeles County firefighters.

The car allegedly plunged 250 feet over the side of the road.

CHP responded to the crash along with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department, LA County Fire and the Forestry Service, authorities said.

Officials remained at the scene to hoist the vehicle to the road.
