Man Reportedly Steals iPhone 5 From Verizon Store

Someone allegedly stole an iPhone 5 from the Verizon store in the 2600 block of Foothill Boulevard.

Authorities are looking for an unidentified man who reportedly threatened to hurt a Verizon Wireless store employee and fled with an iPhone 5 in La Crescenta on Monday, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

The robbery happened about 7:15 p.m. at 2655 Foothill Blvd., near Rosemont Avenue, Lt. Elisabeth Sachs told Patch. He allegedly removed the iPhone 5 from the secured display while an employee helped another customer, she said.

When the employee confronted the suspect, he apparently threatened bodily harm, Sachs said.
