Man Exposes Himself to CVHS Student

The suspect approached a 16-year-old girl waiting for her mother after school with his pants at his thighs and genitals exposed, according to Glendale Police Department.

A 16-year-old student who waited for her mother to pick her up last week became an indecent exposure victim, according to Glendale Police Department officials.

The student waited in the 4100 Block of Ramsdell Avenue on Sept. 6 about 3:45 p.m. when a man driving a white SUV passed by heading northbound, making eye contact with the minor, said Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz via email with Patch.

The victim told police the driver reappeared, heading southbound on Ramsdell Avenue near where she sat, authorities said.

Then the suspect parked south of the student when she saw the driver exit the passenger side door with his pants around his thighs exposing his genitals at the victim, police said.

He allegedly made eye contact with the victim, then immediately pulled up his pants, re-entered the vehicle through the passenger side door and drove off, authorities said. Shortly after, the victim's mother picked her up.

The suspect is described as a man in his 40s with dark hair and a dark beard. He is possibly 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He wore a navy blue t-shirt and navy blue pants. His car was described as a white Ford Explorer.

This is an ongoing investigation and Glendale police are working with other agencies to see if other incidents have happened in the area, Lorenz said.

There are no other known reported indecent exposure incidents, Lorenz said.

Authorities encourage youth to walk in groups, be aware of their surroundings and to call 911 immediately if something occurs.
