La Crescenta Mother Reported Missing

A La Crescenta family is asking the public's help to find Megan DiPiazza, 33, a local mom and wife to Sal DiPiazza.

La Crescenta mother Megan DiPiazza, 33, is listed as an endangered missing person and was last seen Sunday night in the La Crescenta or Sunland-Tujunga area, authorities said.

Her car, a 2013 gray, two-door Scion has the license plate 6XJR885, Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William told Patch.

Investigators are looking for anyone with information about the Crescenta Valley High School graduate's whereabouts.

She is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Jim Reid of the Foothill Community Station. It's unclear what she was last seen wearing.

DiPiazza's family has taken to Facebook to encourage locals to contact police with any information about her whereabouts, said friend, Cheri Jones, via email.

Police attempted to track her phone, but found it off, Jones told Patch.

"I went to elementary school through high school with her and I hope she is OK. Please find out and get the word out," she said.

Friends and family on said DiPiazza apparently left her purse at home, according to her Facebook page. Her hair is also described as curly.

Anyone with information about Megan DiPiazza is urged to call Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4840 or the Los Angeles Police Department, Foothill Community Station, at 818-756-8861. To remain anonymous, call 1-800-222-TIPS.

What a beautiful lady; yes, you should keep her in your prayers...I wonder about the statement that she was seen in Sunland/Tujunga OR LaCrescenta...If the seer did not know which one it was........

All of this does not paint a pretty picture. A woman NEVER leaves her purse at home. Some questions only the detectives can answer: was the note saying good bye written long hand and if so, was it the lady's handwriting. The purse left at home...not good. Abduction might be a possibility. The new pic is not encouraging either. The arm around her and the hand....fingernails painted red but what little we can see of the face next to her appears to be a male. The pic reminds me of being in a bar. I suspect she kept bad company. Not good at all....I can understand why all of this is being shared, but it is just another horror story in a time of great trauma in our country. One can only hope.....choices made...I so hope this troubled person is given another chance....

Thank you for saying what first came to my mind. To me, this calls for community support in finding her. People put posters of missing pets all over town when they're missing. I don't subscribe to face book and believe me I completely believe in the power of prayer. Can we do more? Let me know and I'm there. Thanks.
Robyn Forrand November 15, 2012 at 04:15 PM
Megan I just met you recently at my Halloween party. It saddens me to know that you are missing. I hope you are out there somewhere and reading these posts. Please come home Megan. There are many people that love and care about you, and together, we can help.

Hi Nicole: I called the Glendale Police Department. I asked about posters being put up for Megan and that's not being done. It's something we the People can do. Maybe missing person flyers can be placed at train and bus stations. I was happy to read on the Pasadena Patch that the Police think she's with friends. Grateful to hear she has friends she can turn to. Thanks. Liz

she may well be out there and enjoying reading all of this. Why would she want to come home with all this attention? FYI, this is NOT a nasty....It makes me tempted to disappear and see how many people post.....how glad they are....:)

Megan if you can read this. Remember that you have a very lovable son. Please don't leave an empty place in his heart. He will always love you.

my prayers go out to megan dipiazza i hope to god that tthey find her in her familys arms again
ROBERT E. FISHBACK November 16, 2012 at 07:08 PM
This is a repeat, but the purse left at home is a puzzler. If she planned to travel, she would have taken her purse. To me, the two most likely reasons are to throw a curve ball to cause concern, or a very hasty departure such as an abduction. If it was an abduction, the abductor would have ditched the car very quick and it should be found soon. I find it interesting that another PD thinks she is with friends. Based upon what? I wished they would give reasons on this site. There is no mention of her husband ??? in all of this....why? For reasons unknown, I feel she is ok in the sense of being alive.....She sure has made her mark....
Ronda De Santis November 17, 2012 at 07:13 AM
FISHBACK Knock it off !! I was abducted as an adult and was able to escape thank the Lord! Keep your negative comments in your own head and off this site! This is for encouragement and support ONLY! If u don't have anything positive to contribute keep it to yourself. WhAt a horrid ASSumption that she is doing this for the attention and that maybe u should go missing to see how much attention u would get. Even if that turns out to be the case, it's our privilege to b there as her friends and family to help through her darkest hour. If you r not going to offer a kind word then go away.
Maria Muriello November 18, 2012 at 03:42 AM

Hey Fishback, SHUT UP! Megan's parents are reading this stuff! We're all fearfull, but when my daughter, Ronda, went missing as she stated above, she managed to get away. The police didn't share everything with us, they may have had some great leads but they're not going to tell you! Maybe Daisy's trying to tell us something. I'll be watch when I go to Orange County toomorrow, my friend will be watching on his way to SanDiego, my sisters in Arizona and Oregon. My girls and I have known Megan since she was a toddler. She's beautiful, bright and a loving daughter who loves her family. She's not the hurtful person you're portraying her to be so get on your knees and pray for Megan and her family and forgiveness for yourself. Maybe you're the one who needs to be investigated. Clean it up, Pal, you're making me mad!
trudy mckay November 25, 2012 at 11:16 PM
Oh Megan, So many people, really really love and care about you!! We all are praying daily for your safe return. No questions or judgments - just come home to your family and so many worried friends. We love you, Megan! We want you back, Trudy
