La Crescenta Mother Reported Missing

A La Crescenta family is asking the public's help to find Megan DiPiazza, 33, a local mom and wife to Sal DiPiazza.

La Crescenta mother Megan DiPiazza, 33, is listed as an endangered missing person and was last seen Sunday night in the La Crescenta or Sunland-Tujunga area, authorities said.

Her car, a 2013 gray, two-door Scion has the license plate 6XJR885, Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William told Patch.

Investigators are looking for anyone with information about the Crescenta Valley High School graduate's whereabouts.

She is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Jim Reid of the Foothill Community Station. It's unclear what she was last seen wearing.

DiPiazza's family has taken to Facebook to encourage locals to contact police with any information about her whereabouts, said friend, Cheri Jones, via email.

Police attempted to track her phone, but found it off, Jones told Patch.

"I went to elementary school through high school with her and I hope she is OK. Please find out and get the word out," she said.

Friends and family on said DiPiazza apparently left her purse at home, according to her Facebook page. Her hair is also described as curly.

Anyone with information about Megan DiPiazza is urged to call Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4840 or the Los Angeles Police Department, Foothill Community Station, at 818-756-8861. To remain anonymous, call 1-800-222-TIPS.

Thank you so much. I definitely should not have been wearing it... it has been loose for a coupleRead More of years now. I'm hoping that it is on my property otherwise I am at the grace of good honest people... Thank you for your suggestions and I have filed a lost property report and I will definitely call the local pawn shops. Keeping it in perspective and at the end of the day it is just an object, but I'm definitely hoping that it finds its way back.

I can well empathsize with your loss. First thing, can you remember taking it off anywhere? DidRead More you wash your hands anywhere, soap makes fingers slippery. Did it fit well or was it a little loose? Running makes the arms swing. Strange as it may seem, it may still be in or on your own property. There are still honest people, call the desk of every business you went to. Also, call every pawn shop in your area and report. Good luck. If its any comfort, I found a diamond studded tie tack when I gazed at the soil in my garden and saw it. Keep us posted. b
