Investigation Into Missing Sunland Woman At 'Standstill'

Police ask for anyone with information to come forward.

Authorities have exhausted all leads into their search for a Sunland-area resident who disappeared suddenly last November.

"It's kind of at a standstill right now," said a Glendale Police detective of the investigation into missing woman Megan DiPiazza. "We followed up on all the leads we had at the onset. If there are any leads, we'd be more than happy to follow up on them."

DiPiazza, 33, disappeared Sunday, November 11, 2012. She reportedly had written a note "saying goodbye," authorities said. The note had been found at the bottom of a trash can.

DiPiazza was living alone in Sunland after separating from her husband.

DiPiazza's driver's license, debit card and phone were the only items missing from her apartment. Investigators have not seen any activity on her bank account since her disappearance, said Alex Krikorian, Glendale Police detective.

DiPiazza is still considered a voluntary missing person, Krikorian said.

Her vehicle is a gray 2013 Toyota Scion, license plate number 6XJR885, although her vehicle may not have any plates on it.

"Now, we're just waiting for someone to see something, or hear something to let us know. We'd really appreciate it. I'm sure her family would as well," Krikorian said.

Anyone with information is asked to call (818) 548-3987 and ask for Sergeant Jeff Newton or Detective Alex Krikorian.
