Car Fire: Cause of Vehicle Trunk Blaze Undetermined

Officials say no one was injured in the car fire off the Foothill (210) Freeway last week.

Firefighters have not determined what caused the vehicle fire last week in La Crescenta, just north of the Foothill (210) Freeway, officials said.

The rear area of the 4-door Honda caught flames about 4:20 p.m. Dec. 4 at Encinal and Pennsylvania avenues, just north of the Foothill (210) Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The flames were apparent to drivers. Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene and someone began using a fire extinguisher, resident Elva Sherman told Montrose-La Crescenta Patch via Facebook.
