UPDATE: Firefighters Knock Down Flames in Angeles National Forest

The seven-acre fire burned near Morris Reservoir north of Glendora.

A brush fire broke out Wednesday near the Morris Reservoir in the Angeles National Forest north of Glendora, blackening about seven acres of rocky terrain, but no injuries were reported.

The fire was reported about 10:30 a.m. near the 9100 block of North San Gabriel Canyon Road and was fully contained as of 5 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, which sent about 120 personnel to the scene.

Firefighters used Super Scooper water-dropping aircraft to battle the flames.
