After nearly 4,200 acres burned and $9 million in costs, the that erupted in Angeles National Forest above Glendora over the Labor Day weekend is 100 percent contained.
The U.S. Forest Service announced the full containment of the 4,190-acre fire Tuesday evening, citing efforts from ground fire crews, air tankers and helicopters.
The higher humidity levels and precipitation from also aided in combating the blaze, according to the Forest Service.
Fire crews will continue to mop up the area and monitor the smoke in the perimeter.
Authorities say nearly $9 million in costs resulted from battling the blaze that began near Camp Williams off East Fork Road above Glendora Sept. 2.
Fifteen firefighters were treated for injuries, including heat exhaustion and ankle and shoulder injuries.
The canyon, Highway 39, Glendora Mountain Road and Glendora Ridge Road will remained closed to the public, except for permanent residents, who may enter through San Gabriel Canyon Road.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
