Few Serious Crimes Reported in La Crescenta-Montrose in August

The unincorporated areas of Montrose and La Crescenta experienced low levels of crime in the month of August, Deputy Jorge Valdivia of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station told the Crescenta Valley Town Council on Thursday. 

"All in all, it was a good month in August," Valdivia said

The area had no homicides, rapes, grand theft autos, arsons or aggravated assaults. There were reports of three burglaries and one robbery.

"It was charged as a robbery, but really, it was a family dispute," Valdivia said. 

There were 11 reported larcenies, four of which were reported at Crescenta Valley High School and four from vehicles.

"So all in all, our burglaries are down and we are doing better than we did last month," Valdivia said
